Born in Belton, she was a daughter of the late Amiel Adolphus and Lucia Alma Elgin Getsinger. She was a member and former treasurer of Keowee Baptist Church. She worked at Metric Shirt Plant for many years and retired from Blair Mills.
Surviving are her husband of the home, a son, Keith Brock (Lisa) of Honea Path, three grandchildren, Kyle Brock (Jodi), Kristen Brock, and Kody Brock, and one greatgrandchild, Seth Brock.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by eight brothers, Waymon Robert Getsinger, James Getsinger, Fred Blakely Getsinger, Charles Getsinger, David Earle Getsinger, William Harrison Getsinger, Lucius Pruitt Getsinger, and Johnny Orr Getsinger, and five sisters, Gertrude Gabbard, Doris Etrulia Finley, Aileen Wilson, Helen Othelia Hamby, and Betty Sue Fisher.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Keowee Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday at Keowee Baptist Church prior to the service.
