Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Fred Odell and Mildred Hanley Neal. She was an active member of Crossroads Fellowship Church and the children’s ministry there. She truly loved her church. She formerly worked at Chiquola Mills . Mrs. Holt’s favorite pastime was watching her beloved granddaughter Reagan play softball.
Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of the home are: her son, Van Cason of Honea Path; her daughter, Mickey (Mark) Abercrombie of Donalds; her brother, A.P. (Kathy) Neal of Greenwood; two sisters, Delores (Don) Hill and Ann (Juan) Thomason, both of Honea Path; three grandchildren, Reagan Abercrombie, Daryl Holt, and Zachary Cason; three great-grandchildren, Adelyn Holt, Troy Holt, and Thomas Cason; and her special friend, Judy Elbertson of Cheddar.
Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Brenda McAlister.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Crossroads Fellowship Church with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 11-12 noon Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
