Born in Belton, she was a daughter of the late Howard Herbert and Helen Parnell Bratcher. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church where she taught in the nursery and sang in the choir for many years. She worked in insurance for many years at Langston Real Estate and Insurance, Dantzler Insurance, Blake Holiday Insurance, and retired from BB&T Insurance.
Surviving are her husband of the home, a daughter, Jackie Meyers Elliott and husband Norman of Honea Path, four grandchildren, Kevin and Sterling Tyner, Amy and Dr. James Stumpff, Anthony and Dr. Sara Ragsdale, LeeAnna and Curtis Raxter, and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by a daughter, Angela Meyers Ragsdale, and a sister, Nancy Bratcher Gambrell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry White and Rev. Steve McGaha officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 PM Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path, prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
