Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late James Delmas and Ruby Thompson Stallings. He was a member of Columbia Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran. He retired from Ivester Electric Company after 41 years of service. He loved fishing, hunting, and farming, growing peas, corn, watermelon, and cantaloupe. He was a proud John Deere tractor owner. He also enjoyed spending time with Martha.
Surviving are: his brother, David (Ruby) Stallings of Honea Path; his sister, Betty Marcelle (Lee Roy) Garrison of Fountain Inn; and his special friend, Martha Bolt of Hickory Tavern; and several special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, James Russell Stallings, William Truman Stallings, and Kenneth Dyrell Stallings.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Columbia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Travis Brooks officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service.
