Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Leon and Mary McGaha Brown. She was a member of Cross Hill Church of God and a homemaker.
Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 63 years of the home are: her daughter, Sharon Ridgeway of Belton; a brother, Donnie Brown of Belton; three sisters, Betty (Ed) Reese, Mildred (Donnie) Todd, and Judy (Bobby) Davis, all of Belton; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Jason) Gilmer, raised in the home, of Honea Path; Michael (Amber) Brock, Julie (Tony) DiGirolamo, Desiree (Brandon) Chandler, and Diana (Carlos) Burgos; fourteen great-grandchildren, David, Dustin, and Caitlyn Gilmer, Brooklyn and Katrina Brock, Patrick and Landon Chandler, Dylan and Corey DiGirolamo, and Chianna, Carlos, Cierrah, Ceeanna, and Cinayah Burgos, and one great-great grandchild, Corianna DiGirolamo.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Donald Ray Brock and George “Mikey” Brock, two brothers, Bobby Brown and Daniel Brown, and two sisters, Frances Fields and Lucille Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Christmas, Rev. Benny Dyar, and Rev. Larry Richardson officiating. Masks and social distancing will be required. Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
