Born at 928 Austin Road, he was a son of the late John Robert Martin and Edna Sue Smith Martin Suell. He was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church, and was retired from his work as a mechanic for Monsanto. He was a member of Centre Lodge #37 A.F.M. and the Hejaz Shrine Temple.
Mr. Martin is survived by two sons: Joey Martin and wife Nacole of Honea Path and Patrick Martin and wife Shannon of Honea Path; one daughter: Suzanne Creel of Honea Path; and seven grandchildren: Kala Martin, Karisa Martin, Kylie Martin, Averie Martin, Skyla Evans, Erik Young, and Ethan Young.
He was preceded in death by one brother: Joel Martin; two sisters: Annette Martin and Lois Martin; his step-father: Colie B. Suell; a step-brother: Danny Suell; and a step-sister: Connie Suell.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Garden of Memories with Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
