Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Furman Wesley and Nellie Bagwell Vaughn. He was a member of Crossroads Fellowship Church and was retired from Chiquola Mfg. Co. He was a charter member of the Keowee Fire Department having served for 43 years, and served as Vice-President of the Board of Directors for 20 years.
Surviving are his wife of the home, two sons, Tracy Vaughn (Pam Owens) of Antreville, and Jamey Matthew Vaughn (Maelee Sherman) of Honea Path, a brother, Roger Vaughn, and two sisters Doris Fleming (Randy) of Honea Path and Linda Powell of Belton, three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter Angela Rowland, two brothers, Jodie and Ralph Vaughn, a sister, Nellie Ruth Vaughn, and two grandchildren, Pamela Davis and Ryan Pace.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Crossroads Fellowship Church with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 P.M. Wednesday at Crossroads Fellowship Church prior to the service.
