Born in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late Albert Powell and Marian Davis Joseph. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Surviving are: three sons, Tim (Regena) Wilson of Belton, John (Lacy) Wilson of Iva, and Greg (Amy) Wilson of Williamston; two brothers, Jack Powell of Boston, MS and Butch Joseph of WV; four sisters, Linda Hamm of Boston, MS, Lois Addison of Boston, MS, Sandra Cameron of Boston, MS, and Kelly Antosh of Frederick, MD; eight grandchildren, Corey Wilson, Cameron Wilson, Carissa Wilson, Brittany (Matt) Dixon, Justin (Alyssa) Wilson, Weston Wilson, Brandon (Lauren) Vaught, and Barrett Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Emmett Dixon, Laiken Vaught, and Waylon Atchison; and special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Selton McMahan and Mr. & Mrs. Kay McCurry.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Krieger and Rev. Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Social distancing and masks are required.

The family is at the home of a son, John, 1609 Pettigrew Road, Iva, SC and will receive friends from 12 noon – 1:30 P.M. Saturday at the church prior to the service.
