Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Grover A. and Janie Hill Prince. She was of the Church of God of Prophecy Faith. She was retired from both Riegel Textile Co. and Park Seed Co. and later worked with Ware Shoals School District 51. She loved yard sales and fishing.
Surviving are two sons, Rayford Nelson (Judy) of Ware Shoals and Ray McCoy of Greenwood, a daughter, Nikki Sharpe (Andrew) of Ware Shoals, five grandchildren, Shannon Pressley, Eddie McCoy, Christie Hyder, Hayden Sharpe, and Kayne Sharpe and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was pre deceased by a son, Jimmy Nelson, a daughter, Linda Cobb, four brothers, Brown, Jim, Bill, and Robert Prince and five sisters, Gladys Gambrell, Marie Gambrell, Ethel Smith, Sara Gambrell, and Ida Mae McCoy.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating. Social distancing and masks are recommended.
