Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Magdalene Inez Davis McAlister. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are: two sons, Micky (Jackie) Garner of Rutherford, NC and Phil (Jamie) Garner of Belton; her daughter, Tammy Latimer of Belton; five brothers, Frank (Connie) McAlister of Townville, Robert (Beckie) McAlister of Georgetown, Johnny (Nancy) McAlister of Andrews, Rusty (Heather) McAlister of Lancaster and Rickey (Missy) McAlister of VA; three sisters, Annette (Jimmy) Ashley of Honea Path, Laura Lee (Harvey) Owens of Plantersville, and Lisa (Brian) Turner of Georgetown; her mother-in-law, Dollie Garner of Belton; her aunt, Azalee Redd of Anderson; and seven grandchildren, Andrew (Amber) Garner, Sierra Garner (Gatlin Miller), Jarrett Latimer, Jacob Latimer, Noah Garner, Penny Garner and Caleb Garner and a great-grandchild, Emmi Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Riverview Baptist Church in Powdersville, SC with Rev. Anthony Moore, Rev. Dale Ellenburg, Rev. Jim Evatt, and Rev. Rusty McAlister officiating. Burial will follow at 3 P.M. in Winona Baptist Church Cemetery in Donalds, SC.
The family is at the home. An extended visitation, in order to allow for social distancing and occupancy limits, will be held from 3-7 P.M.
