Born in Whitmire, he was a son of the late Ray Gahagan and Betty Scott Dye. He was a member of Greenville Presbyterian Church and was retired from his work as a construction manager for Samaritan’s Purse.
In addition to his wife of the home, Mr. Gahagan is survived by one son: Austin Martin Gahagan of Donalds; one daughter: AsheLee Bonham Gahagan and husband Anthony Alfano of Holly Springs, NC; one brother: Phillip Gahagan of Greer; and three grandsons: Nathaniel, Andrew, and Austin Alfano.
Funeral services with limited seating will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Greenville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Donovan Campbell and Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced according to the current practices of Greenville Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
