Born in Greenville, he was a son of Jon Russell Ambrose and Monica Chastain Begg. He was of the Baptist Faith. He accepted Jesus’s salvation at Powerlife Christian Camp in July, 2000, and was later baptized at Southside Baptist Church. A graduate of BHP High School Class of 2004, Wes loved spending time with his children, loved his Mama dearly, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved muddin’.
Surviving are his wife of the home, parents, Monica Begg (George) of Taylors, Jon Ambrose (Melinda) of Anderson, and Robbie Davis (Michele) of Taylors, maternal grandparents, Eddie and Diane Hill Evans of Welford and Jeane Begg of Taylors, a son, Griffen Blake Ambrose of the home, three daughters, Geordyn Lynn Ambrose of the home, Chloe Elisabeth Ambrose of Anderson, and Gianna Nicole Ambrose of the home, and bonus daughter, Clayssi Patterson. brothers, Hunter Ambrose Darby of Pelzer, Joshua Davis and Brandon Davis, both of Anderson, and Conner and Owen Davis of Taylors, sisters, Sydne Ambrose (Jamie) of Belton and Casey Cox (Caleb) of Tuscaloosa, AL, McKinley Heatherly of Taylors, Jessica Brentner of Washington State, nephews, Xane Jennings and Remington Lusk, and nieces, Trinity Jennings and Hilaree Beasley and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Sidney Clifton Chastain, Jr., paternal grandmother Helen “Nannie” Alewine, maternal uncle Sidney Lee Chastain, maternal grandparents Sidney Clifton Chastain Sr. and Nettie Chastain, maternal great-grandparents, John Newell Hill and Eva Hill, and paternal great-grandfather Russell Alewine, maternal grandfather, George Begg II.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Beech Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church, Pelzer with Rev. Eric Boggs Officiating. Social distancing will be observed. Masks are encouraged. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Honea Path.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
