Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Leslie Henry, Sr., and Amanda Louise Ashley Ricketts. He was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and was a truck driver for 48 years. He was a veteran of the SCNG, and a diehard Clemson Tiger fan. “W. B.” loved spending time with his grandchildren and working in his yard.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home are: his son, Russell Bradley (Stephanie) Ricketts of Honea Path; a daughter, Lori Ricketts (Jeff) Sullivan; two sisters, Peggy Jo (Billy Cowart) Bailey of Cummings, GA and Sarah McClain of Newnan, GA; three grandchildren, Dalton (Tori Ashley) McClain, Garrett (Courtney McElrath) Ricketts, and Peyton Sullivan; and two great-grandchildren, Tatum Reece McClain and Brexley Hays Ricketts.

Mr. Ricketts is preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, his brother, Leslie Henry Ricketts, Jr. and his beloved dog, Mazie.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, June 19, 2020 at Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Pritchett officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home and will receive friends at the church Friday from 1-2 P.M.  prior to the service.
