Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late John Bennett and Julia Martin Medlin. He was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church and was retired from Amoco Fabrics and Fibers Industries in marketing and sales. He was a 1965 graduate of Ware Shoals High School and attended Clemson College. He served in the SC Army National Guard.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his five children, Brandon Medlin of Ware Shoals, Thomas Milton Traynham II and wife Becky of Chapin, Jennifer Medlin Barrett and husband Joseph of Indianapolis, IN, Allison Traynham Carroll and husband Scott of Lexington, and Ryan Traynham Boulton and husband Eric of Long Island, NY, a brother, John R. Medlin and wife Teresa of Ware Shoals and a sister, Rebecca “Becky” Seawright and husband Jackie of Gainesville, FL, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews who were very special to him.
