Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Claudius and Vera Williams Pruitt. She was of the Church of God of Prophecy Faith and was formerly employed by Park-Davis Co. Mrs. Dukes was also an active member of the Honea Path Senior Citizens.
Surviving are a son, David Dukes (Debbi) of Anderson, a daughter, Dianne D. Sparrow of Lake Charles, LA, five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was pre deceased by her parents, her husband, two sons, Marshall and Donald Brian Dukes, a daughter, Kay Dukes Parks, two brothers, Leory and Ed Pruitt, and three sisters, Barbara Jean Hogg, Frances Posey, and Sara Lollis.
Private Family services will be held on Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will be private.
