Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Jasper and Eunice Gilmer Autry. He was a member of Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church. Gerald retired from Becton Dickinson and had formerly worked at Chiquola Mills for 22 years.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 62 years of the home are: his son, Dallas (Michelle) Autry of Honea Path; his daughter, Wanda (Randy) Cooley of Honea Path; grandchildren, Jeremy (Brittney) Cooley, Eastin Cooley, Samantha Autry and Amy Phillips; great-grandchildren, Grayson Cooley, Avery Cooley, Jake Cooley, Tyler Phillips, Hope Phillips and one great-great grandchild Paislee Black.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Claudeous Autry, and his sister, Ethel Kennedy.
Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, March 20, 2020 at Garden of Memories with Rev. Shane Elrod and Rev. Sherrill Green officiating.
