Born in Savannah, Ga, he was a son of the late Robert Cleve and Iris Pulliam Bagwell. He was a member of the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church. He retired as First Sergeant from the South Carolina Army National Guard after serving for 30 years with 27 years being full time. He was a 1963 graduate or Ware Shoals High School and a 1964 graduate of the Nashville Auto and Diesel School. He was a member of the Ware Shoals Lodge # 306 A.F.M., the York Rite, and Hejaz Shrine Temple.
Surviving are his wife of the home, three sons, Catlin of Williamston, Timothy of Ware Shoals, and Bobby of Greenwood, a daughter Diana of Anderson, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son Michael.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals, with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. A private burial will be held.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 12 to 1 PM on Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service.
