Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Benjamin Allen Elledge and Pearl McCullough Elledge Vaughn. He was twice married, first to the late Betty Cothran Elledge. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and the Brewerton Lodge # 183 A.F.M. He was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills as a truck driver with 32 years of accident free driving.
Surviving are his wife of the home, four daughters, Gayle Martin (Jim) of Woodbridge, VA, Brenda Suit of Honea Path, Malinda Griffin of Easley, and B.J. Osborne (Jason) of Laurens, two brothers, Walter Elledge of Ware Shoals and Edward Elledge of Simpsonville, two sisters, Becky Arnett and Mary Ann Babb, both of Ware Shoals, ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2 PM at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals with Rev. Lamar Babb officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Saturday at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service.
