Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Margaret Pruitt Warren. He was a member and Deacon of Keowee Baptist Church and was retired from Med-Line of Honea Path.

Surviving are his wife of the home, a son, Anthony Ray “Tony” Pruitt of the home, a daughter, Mary Margaret Smith (Jammie) of Honea Path, a sister Angie Grant (Jerry) of Honea Path, four grandchildren, Allison Pruitt (Ali), Bailey Smith, Bryson Smith, and Makina Smith, and a great-granddaughter, Elani Torres. He was predeceased by a grandson, John Anthony Pruitt.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Keowee Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Lee, Rev. Mark Krieger, and Rev. Jimmy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of his daughter Mary Margaret Smith, Earl Shirley Road, Honea Path and will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
