Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Robert “ Bob” and Frances Moore Patterson. She was a member of the Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was active in Women’s Ministry and Children’s Church. She was a homemaker and nanny. She served with the Family Readiness Group – Army and was a Blue Star Mom.

Surviving are her husband of the home, three sons, Robert Jeffery Wood of the home, Johnathan Lee and Jenny Wood of Ware Shoals, and Clarence “Peanut” Anderson Wood, Jr. of Ware Shoals, two daughters, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Batson of Ware Shoals and Jessica and Jeremy Brock of Donalds, a brother, Frankie Patterson, three sisters, Annie “Ludy” Beasley, Barbara Patterson, and Elaine Harper, twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Patterson and a sister, Jean Frizell and three infants.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday at the Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Anthony Irby, Rev. Byron Wood, and Rev. Sherril Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Wood Family Cemetery.
