Born in Greenwood County on September 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence T. and Grace Holliday Davis. She was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church for 71 years where she helped with the Children’s Ministry and the Time Release Program. She retired from Self Regional Healthcare where she worked as a Ward Secretary on Pediatrics.  

Surviving are: her son, Steven (Cathey) O’Dell of Ware Shoals; her daughter, Susan (Tom) Hutson of Wilmington, NC; a brother, Harold (Carlene) Kay of Ware Shoals; former son-in-law, Larry (Judy) Terrell of Indian Land; former daughter-in-law, Dianne (Billy) Brown of Ware Shoals; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. O’Dell is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Jasper Lee O’Dell, Jr., her daughter, Linda Terrell, and a brother, Lawrence T. Davis, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, October 21, 2019 at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Wiles and Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating. Private burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Monday at the church prior to the service.
