She was born on Aug. 4, 1919, in Spartanburg County, SC, to Claude H. And Belle Hill Gresham, but lived most of her life in Ware Shoals, SC. She graduated from Ware Shoals High School, attended Lander College and retired from the Accounting Dept. Of Riegel Textile Corp. in Ware Shoals. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Grits Gresham, and sisters Edith Kelley, Martha Gresham and Rosa Schemmel.

Surviving are her three children, Dr. John R. Bedingfield, Jr. (Joyce) and Barbara Bedingfield, both of Piedmont, SD, and David Bedingfield (Susan) of Pelzer, SC, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Foothills Baptist Church in Piedmont, SD. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in S.C. . Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD, is in charge of arrangments. Memorials may be made to the church or charity of one's choice.
