Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Beulah Phillips Chapman. She was a homemaker and a member of Beech Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church and had attended Ware Shoals Church of God of Prophecy in her later years.
Surviving are a son, Jimmy Lee Griffin of Ware Shoals, three daughters, Betty Jo Griffin of Orangeburg, Judy Reynolds of Ware Shoals, and Teresa Poore of Ware Shoals, two brothers, Larry Chapman of Williamston and Bill Chapman of Ware Place, twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband, a daughter, Margaret Amick, brothers, Clyde Chapman,Lawrence Chapman, Carl Chapman, and Rev. John B. Chapman, asisters, Sara Davis, Ella Mae Chapman, and Patricia Chapman.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Ware Shoals Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Susan Allen and Rev. Byron Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
