Born in Franklin GA, he was a son of the late William Franklin and Mamie Powell Hood. He was a retired Pentecostal Pastor and retired from Liberty Life Insurance Company. On Saturday, May 25, 2019, JT went to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior and to be reunited with his beloved Betty. We know that he rejoices in Heaven with her and the Lord as they were the center of his life. He will be truly missed by his family who adored his sense of humor and his gentle demeanor.

Surviving are: his son, Michael (Delane) Hood of Anderson; two daughters, Renee (Chuck) Coggins and Sonja (Terri Crews) Hood, both of Anderson; his sister, Shirlynn (Jimmy) Free of N. Augusta; seven grandchildren, Cade, Conner, and Chaz Coggins, Logan Hood, Haven Hanley, Mark and Matthew Gonce; three great-granchildren, Nolan Gonce, Peyton Hanley, and Zander Hood.

JT is predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife, and two brothers, Billy and Kenneth Hood.

Active pallbearers will be Cade, Conner, and Chaz Coggins, Mark and Matthew Gonce, Logan Hood, and Tate Hanley

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jimmy Free officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10-11 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
