Born in Timmonsville, he was the son of the late Drew Kuker Lee, Sr. and Sadie Mimms Lee. He was an active member of Ware Shoals United Methodist Church where he founded a young couples Sunday school class after returning home from the Pacific Theater in World War II. D.K. also served as Lay Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and chairman of the Building Committee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II. He attended Wofford College and worked for 18 years at Riegel Textile Co. while he and his wife established Lee Photography Portrait Studio. He was a founder of Ware Shoals Plastics.
Surviving are a son, Drew Kuker Lee, III ( Katie) of Mountain City, Tn., a daughter, Drucilla “Miss Dru” McLean (Randy) of Ware Shoals, five grandchildren, Denebola Pederson (Chuck), R.E. McLean (Chris), Dee’L Tunstall, “Little” Kuker Lee IV (Tracey), and Keara Lee Potter and eighteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by three infant sisters and two great-grandsons.
Memorial services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Ware Shoals United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Rogers and Mr. Uwe Klauck officiating.
