Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Reuben T. and Arkey Lou Vest Brock. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church and formerly worked at Michelin. Mr. Brock was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Belton Lodge #130 A.F.M., a lifetime member of The American Legion #51, a member of Gideons International, Starr-Iva Camp, and a Hejaz Shriner.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 49 years of the home are: his daughter, Dr. Shannon (Reed) Wilson of Anderson, his brother, Tony (Cindy) Brock of Belton, two grandchildren, Eva Wilson and Bennett Wilson, his brother-in-law, Sonny (Argyll) Ashley and his step-sister, Linda (Jerry) Strickland.
Mr. Brock is preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother, Martha Owens Brock.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Adkins, Rev. Wayne Watson, and Rev. Marshall Fagg officiating. Private burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday from 3-4:30 P.M. at the church following the service.
