Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Cleave and Mary Lou Ellen Long Cooper. She attended Gethsemane Church. She was a member of The Eastern Star. Phyllis loved spending time with her family and caring for others. She was a beautiful person with strong faith.
Surviving are: her daughter, Katie (Ben) Hayden of Columbia; her brother, Cleave Micheal Cooper of Dalzell; three sisters, Barbara (Dixie) Mattison of Ware Shoals, Rebecca (Charles) Nalley of MS, and Billee Cooper of Ware Shoals; brother-in-law, Rodney (Angie) Rogers of Ware Shoals; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Fluff.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three sisters, Karla Barbrey, Nancy O’Shields, and Debra Holley.
Memorial services will be at 2 P.M. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Lowe and Rev. Keith Fields officiating.
