Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Harrison Lewis and Fannie Mae Parr Reid. She was a faithful member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the WMU. She was a 1964 graduate of Greenwood High School and was a retired from the Greenwood Mills Executive Office after 32 years.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years of the home, a son, Ken Smith ( Debby) of Donalds, a daughter, Lynn Day (Wayne) of Hodges, two brothers, Jack Ronald Reid (Mildred) and Joe Donald Reid (Carolyn), both of Greenwood, four grandchildren, Justin Smith, Amber Day, Branyon Coker, and Tiffany Haynes, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 on Tuesday at Walnut Grove Baptist Church prior to the service.
