Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Clarence Douglas and Sybil Minnie Campbell McCoy. He attended Crossroads Fellowship Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are one son: Randy James McCoy (Ashely Moseley) of Honea Path; three daughters: Brandi Lollis (Kenneth Wells) of Starr, Tracy Braziel (Shelley) of Spartanburg, and Jennifer Jennings (Koy) of Anderson; one brother: Teddy McCoy (Michelle) of Honea Path; eleven grandchildren: Landon McCoy, Gabrielle McCoy, Dakota Lollis, Allie Lollis, Brianna McCoy, Brooke Haynes, Cameron Gambrell, Bradley Gambrell, Brittany Derita, Cheyenne Sellers, and Austin Sellers; and two great-grandchildren: Braxton Derita and Liam Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 20 at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Crossroad’s Fellowship Church’s social hall, and from 2-3 PM Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
