Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Julian and Sara Nora Pitts Hasting. She was a member of Faith Temple Holiness Church where she served as assistant Sunday School teacher for over 40 years with Sister Effie Hoffman, and was a Prayer Warrior for the Lord. She was retired from Greenwood Mills Sloan Plant.
Surviving are four daughters, Diane Gunnells (Robert) of Donalds, Peggy Gunnells (Ray) of Honea Path, Lois Owens (Buddy) of Ninety-Six, and Angie Black (Tony) of Ninety Six, two daughter-in-laws, Sharon Evans of Donalds and Lorraine Evans of Ninety-Six, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and seventeen great-great-grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by two sons, Rev. David Evans Sr., and Clarence Wayne Evans, four brothers, Connie, Clyde, Evans, and Grady Hasting and four sisters, Julia Pow, Vera Berry, Katherine Wood, and Thelma Hasting.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Faith Temple Holiness Church with Rev. Tony Whatley and Rev. C.B. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
