Born in Donalds, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Annie Jane McGaha Magaha. Mrs. Smith was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Jewell Shirley Sunday School Class. She also served as the assistant dietician for the Wednesday evening meals for a number of years. She was retired from both Riegel Textile Corporation and the LaFrance Estes Plant. Mrs. Smith was a blessing to many elderly people over the years.

Surviving are: two sons, Steve (Sherry) Smith and Dewayne (Pamela) Smith, both of Honea Path; two sisters, Shelby Jean Evanski of Bellville, IL, and Rachael Reid of Ware Shoals; a granddaughter, Amanda (Elijah) Proctor of Belton; two step-grandchildren, Shawna (Justice) Whittle of Ware Shoals, and Steven (Cori) Windham of Easley; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, six brothers, and seven sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Thursday evening at Pruitt Funeral Home.
