Born in Abbeville county, he was a son of the late Ralph W. and Iris Barton Davenport. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was a member and Past Master of Princeton Lodge #129 A.F.M.
Survivors in addition to his wife of the home include, two daughters, Robbie Sexton (Jerry) of Williamston and Amy Hart (Brian) of Travelers Rest, one brother, Phillip Davenport of Greenwood and one sister, Dianne Scott of Calhoun Falls. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeremy, Trevor and Tyler Hart.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 25, 2018 at Parker White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals with Rev. Greg Nix, Mr. Brian Hart and Rev. Rick Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Friday from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday prior to the service at Parker White Funeral Home.
