Born in Washington County Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Frank and Velma Williams Bradley. She was a member of Crossroad Fellowship Church and retired teacher from Iva Elementary School, having taught for 26 years. She served as music director at the First Assembly of God Church in Honea Path for 29 years. She was a graduate of Erskine College and lifetime member of American Association of University Women.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: her sons, Stephen Welch (Sherry) of Greenville, Wes Welch (Louise) of Winnsboro, Glenn Welch (Tammy) of Belton and Melvin Welch (Donna) of Abbeville, one daughter, Beth Cannon (Donnie) of Iva, three sisters, Marnie Mitchell and Carol Harrup of Kansas City MO, Becky Edwards of Carterville GA., nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Welch was predeceased by one brother, William “Bill” Bradley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Crossroad Fellowship Church 7832 Hwy 20, Honea Path with the Rev. Paul Cooper, Rev. Jonathan Welch, and Rev. Homer Gilmer officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home of granddaughter, Mrs. Austin (Emily) Grant, Hwy 201 Due West and will receive friends Wednesday, May 23, 2018 beginning at 5 P.
