Born in Bristol, TN, he was a son of Myra Salas. He was a member of Shandon Baptist Church. Mr. Pruitt was a passionate cook and volunteer firefighter.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three brothers: Shawn Pruitt of Simpsonville, Chris Salas and Bryan Salas of Gaston; four sisters: Missy Hicks and Heather Simpson (Dustin) of Brookhaven, MS, Maggie Pruitt of Asheville, NC and Deanna Salas of Gaston; uncles: Stan Pruitt (Margo) of Simpsonville and John Pruitt (Tammy) of Brookhaven, MS; and stepfather: Reuben Salas of Gaston; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: William E. and Mary Pruitt; and two uncles: Marion Rhett Pruitt and William E. Pruitt Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 7 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Pruitt officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
