Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Waymon E. and Ottie Ethel Shaw Ashley. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church, held a masters degree from Clemson University, and was retired from Lexington-Richland School District 5, where she worked as a teacher.
Mrs. Ashley is survived by one son: Chad Ashley and wife Lynelle of Lexington; two sisters: Charlotte Holland and Doris Ashley of Honea Path; three grandchildren: Cayden Ashley, Jacob Price and Justin Price; and one great-granchild: Benjamin Price.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Melvin Glen Ashley and Earl W. Ashley.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, March 26, 2018 at Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Williams officiating. Burial will be private.
