Born in Greenwood County he was a son of the late Benjamin Edwin and Grace Burton Smith. He was retired from ASI Inc in Ware Shoals. He was a member of Ware Shoals United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Aaron Smith of Greenville, a daughter, Jillian Goff(Jonathan) of Ninety Six, one brother, Danny Smith(Jana) of Cabot, AR , one sister, Bennie Faye Eddy(Frank) of Greenwood, two grandchildren, Bennett Goff and Holden Goff and special friends, Brenda Greenway and Ralph and Cathy Campbell.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Gillard.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 13, 2018 at 1 PM at Mt Gallagher Baptist Church with Rev Dr Marcus Bishop and Rev. Billy Slatten officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Monday, March 12, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM at Parker White Funeral Home.
