Born in Charlotte, N.C., he was a son of the late Thomas Gilliam and Virginia Davis Holley. He was a member of the Ware Shoals United Methodist Church and was retired ASI of Ware Shoals.
Surviving are his wife of the home, a son, Chris Holley (Tammy) of Nichols, SC, three daughters, Tammy Cox (Eric) of Ware Shoals, Laura Pulley of Ware Shoals, and J.J. Holley Roper (Tee) of Greenville, a sister, Greta Holley Abercrombie (Johnny) of Murrells Inlet, two sister-in-laws, Faye Holley and Opal Morris, six grandchildren, Elizabeth Holley, Jason Cox (Brittany), B.J. Pulley (Katie), Welsey Pulley (Briony), Holley Roper, and Truman Roper, nine great-grandchildren, Carson and Jennings Cox, Ella, Lake, and Hank Pulley, Aiden, Lilah, Bella, and Timmie Pulley, and a special niece, Wendy Major.
He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Randy, Donnie, and Eugene Holley
Memorial Services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Ware Shoals United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday at Ware Shoals United Methodist Church prior to the service.
