Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Mary Jane Ables Brock and the late Hobert Brock. He was a member of Honea Path Church of God and was a construction contractor. Eddie was a hard worker that loved and was good to everyone.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home and his mother of Honea Path are: two step-daughters, Alicia (Jeff) Dover and Krystal Alewine, both of Toccoa GA, his brother, Tyrone (Kay) Brock of Abbeville, six grandchildren, Jacey and Jentry Dover, Chris Jr., Zack, and Summer Mace, and Brayden Addison, and niece Tracy Brock Lowe(Jimbo) and a great niece Mary Grace Lowe. He was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter, Ansley Taryn Alewine.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Friday, February 2, 2018 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Caldwell and Rev. Chad Smith officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave, Greenwood, SC 29646.
