James E. “Turkey” Brooks

Honea Path – James Edward “Turkey” Brooks, 74, husband of Faye Gilmer Brooks, of Brooks Road, died Monday, January 22, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

 

Born in Honea Path, he was the son of the late Joseph Edward and Dorothy Emma Belle Ashley Brooks. He was a member of Honea Path First Assembly of God. He owned and operated Brooks Exxon in Honea Path for 45 years. He was a member of Centre Lodge #37 A.F.M.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 50+ years of the home are: his son, Andy Brooks of Honea Path, three daughters, Abbie (JB) Agnew, Amber (Scott) Brown, and Andrea (Kenneth) Brock, all of Honea Path, and seven grandchildren, Briana Agnew, Juliana Agnew, Savannah Ramey, Clay Brooks, Jayden Agnew, Maddie Brown, and Ellie Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jones Brewer and Rev. Andrew Overby officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
