Born in Sommerville, he was a son of the late Andrew James and Ada Rebecca Barnes Hodge. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired electrician.
Surviving are two sons, David Hodge, II (Kristin) of Greenwood and T.J. Moore of Laurens, two brothers, Andres James Hodge, Jr of Epworth and John Howard Hodge of Hodges, four sisters, Carol Rebeccaq Flowers of Palatka, FL, Malinda Alsbrooks of Summerton, Lottie Maxine Crawford of Greenwood, and Deborah Morrow of Linconton, GA. He was pre-deceased by a son, Joshua Hodge.
