Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late James B. and Mary Burdette Green. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church where she was a member of the Pairs & Spares Sunday School class. Betty had formerly worked as a Registered Nurse.

Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 42 years of the home are: four daughters, Denise (Brian) Bowen of Anderson, Debbie (Lecil) Fullbright of Anderson, Bebe (Greg) Vaughn of Donalds, and Terri Opal (Tate) Iverster of Anderson, her brother, Jimmy (Lynn) Green of Williamston, her sister, Judy (Ralph) Dunn of Belton, eight grandchildren, Glen Massey, Shane Massey, Taylor Bradford, Tyler Fullbright, Kassie Cann, Megan Vaughn, Kaleigh Ivester, and Luke Ivester, and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step-brother, Skeet Burdette.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Krieger officiating. Burial will be private.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Tuesday at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Mt.
