Born in Pelzer, SC, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Vennie Cothran Cooley. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and a member of The Eastern Star. She and Al were married for 68 years.
Surviving are: her daughter, Pat (Tony) Ashley of Honea Path, two grandchildren, Chris Ashley and Jessica (Jarrett) Brown, and a great-granddaughter, Ava Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Pat, 511 Farm Wood Rd, Honea Path, and will receive friends 2-3 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
