Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late J. C. and Betty Varnum Alverson. He was a truck driver.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: two sisters, Sharon James of Due West and Angie Alverson of Ware Shoals. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenny Alverson.
Memorial services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Anthony Irby officiating.
