Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Annie Jane McGaha Magaha. She was a member of Tulip Baptist Church in Hermitage TN, and formerly a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Spence was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Old Hickory TN Chapter. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are: three sons, Bobby Lee (Wanda) Spence, Jr., of Ware Shoals, John Spence of Lebanon, TN, and Timothy Spence, Sr., of Old Hickory, TN, three daughters, Dianne (Hank) Eden of Mt Juliet, TN, Sandra Babb of Old Hickory, TN, and Renee (Danny) Stevens of Ashland, TN, three sisters, Rachael Reid of Hodges, Vivian Smith of Honea Path, and Shelby Jean Evanski of Swansea, Il. , fifteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Mac, Roy, Elmer, and Henry McGaha, and five sisters, Gladys Brooks, Carrie Wells, Nina Cann, Sis Roland, and Eunice Hall.
Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Bishop Ray Boggs officiating.
The family is at the home of her son, Bobby Spence, Jr., 337 Turkey Creek Road, Ware Shoals, SC 29692, and will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M.
