Born in Cold Springs, NY, he was a son of Joseph Darrell and Patricia Anne Parkhurst Thomson. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, where he was a former Deacon and served as Church Custodian. Marc was a veteran of the US Navy.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home and his parents of Ware Shoals are: two sons, Josiah and Jonathan Thomson of the home, a daughter, Anna Ruth Thomson of the home, his brother, Jeff (Brenda) Thomson of Laurens, and two sisters, Terri (Chuck) Kitchens of Huntington, PA and Bonni (Brian) Stegall of Ware Shoals. He was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Zoe Thomson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, September 21 , 2017 at Siloam Baptist Church, Ninety Six, SC with Rev. Dr. Bruce Ostrum, Rev. Marc Vickers, and Rev. Stuart Mizzelle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Parker-White Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Family Care Program at Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, Gideon’s International, or Hospice Care of the Piedmont.
