Born in Laurens county, she was a daughter of the late Jay L. and Clara Knight Bolt. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU and a long time children’s Sunday School teacher. She was retired from Third Generation Shirt Plant, and then worked at Playhouse Daycare for several years.
Surviving are three sons, Roy Bagwell (Bev) of Enoree, Dale Bagwell (Valerie) of Anderson, and Kenneth Bagwell (Debbie) of Honea Path, a daughter Sandra Parnell of Honea Path, a brother, James Bolt of Hickory Tavern, four sisters, Margaret Banks, Mildred Bolt, and Martha Bolt, all of Hickory Tavern, and Dora Davis of Greenville, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, and her special family from the Playhouse Daycare. She was pre-deceased by three sisters, Geneva Busby, Jessie Mae Bagwell, and Frances Rigby and a special son-in-law, Charles Parnell.
Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at Chiquola Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Powell and Dr. Jerry White officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
