Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Willis Edward and Carrie Estelle Hall Burkett. He attended Williamston Pentecostal Holiness Church and was formerly employed at Crown Metro in Greenville.
Surviving are: three brothers, Edward Burkett, Jr., of Anderson, David Burkett of Ware Shoals, and Roy (Lisa) Burkett of Waterloo, and three sisters, Grace Ann Davenport of Greenwood, Sue Burkett of Ware Shoals, and Carrie Cole of Pelzer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Ware Shoals Cemetery.
