Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Howell Eugene and Floride Turner Mattison. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and retired from the State of South Carolina after serving as a Procurement Officer for Technical Schools.
Surviving are: two sisters, Geraldine Mattison of Ware Shoals and Linda (Billy) Sherrer of Greenwood, a nephew, Todd (Keelee) Sherrer, great-nephews, Will and Andrew Sherrer, and great-nieces, Leah and Anna Sherrer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Padgett officiating. Burial will follow in Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave, Greenwood, SC 29646.
