Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Enos Hunley and Ethel Jane Hamilton Campbell. He was a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church and served in the Men’s Ministry. He was retired from Laurens Glass Company. Charlie was a veteran of the SC National Guard and was a founding member of the Great White Hunt Club. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home are: his son, Dan (Shae) Campbell of Ware Shoals, three daughters, Lisa Powell of Greenwood, Angie (Rodney) Sullivan of Cross Hill, and Tasha (Jason) Brown of Greenwood, eight grandchildren, Ashlee (David) Gooch, Brooke (Brandon) Sullivan, Brianna Campbell, Stetson, Carter and Madysen Anderson, Landon Brown and Carlee Brown, and three great-grandchildren, Brady White, Lucas Campbell, and Giovanni Gooch.
He was predeceased by his brother Howard and sisters Inez, Beatrice, Myrtle, Lillie Belle, Nora Lee, Dorothy Mae, Frances and Ethelene.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Tony Irby, Rev. Mark Lowe, Rev. Mac Jones, and Rev. Jim Leopard officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1-3 P.M. Friday at the church prior to the service.
