Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late William and Cora Butler Worley. He was a member of Donalds Baptist Church and was former owner of Lou & Perry’s restaurant in Honea Path.
Surviving are two sons, Ray (Becky) Hughes of Ware Shoals and Barry (Janie) Hughes of Honea Path, seven daughters, Martha Lou Maddox of Belton, Susan (Joey) Vaughn of Donalds, Sharon Hughes of Honea Path, Ann Lay of Donalds, Linda Burton of Donalds, Shirley (Cliff) Brock of Honea Path and Sharon Gail (Jeremy) Raines of Simpsonville, a brother, Roosevelt “Rosie” Worley of Laurens, a sister, Geneva Samples of Ware Shoals, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward Worley and James Worley, and a sister, Ruby Wells.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Sturkie officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
